      Sedimentation tanks can be divided into horizontal flow, vertical flow, radial flow, and oblique flow according to the direction of water flow inside 

the tank. Slant plate sedimentation belongs to oblique flow sedimentation. The generation of this sedimentation method originated from the shallow 

pool theory proposed by HAZEN in the early 20th century. The inclined plate sedimentation tank utilizes inclined plates to form many shallow 

sedimentation tanks, thereby increasing the settling area, and thus significantly improving the processing capacity of the inclined plate sedimentation 

tank. Usually, inclined plate sedimentation tanks are used in situations with high processing loads and small workspaces.
